Flute
The flute is a family of musical instruments from the woodwind group. Unlike other woodwind instruments with reeds, the flute is an aerophone( reedless wind instrument ) where the flautist blows air across the embouchure hole, which creates a vibration of air at the hole to produce a sound. The flute consists of three parts, the head, body and foot. The flautist changes the pitch of the sound by pressing( opening and closing ) the keys at the body of the flute. The flautist can change the pitch of the sound without pressing the keys at the body of the flute by varying the air pressure blown across the embouchure hole. The most commonly used concert flute is the western concert flute which is made of solid silver, gold and sometimes platinum. The standard concert flute is normally pitched in C.
