Format*:

​

Students will be assessed at four stations.

​

(1) Higher Brass

(2) Lower Brass

(3) Woodwind

(4) Percussion 

​

Students will be guided by a senior on instrument handling and sound production. They will be assessed on their suitability based on how well they can produce a sound on the instrument. Students are not required to play a song.

​

The percussion station will assess students' sense of rhythm. 

​

The trials will last for an estimated duration of 1.5 hours.

​

​

Safe-Management Measures

Students will be divided into groups of no more than four per venue.

​

Students will be provided instruments that have been cleaned and disinfected. There will be no sharing of instruments at any time. All playing will be done on a complete instrument (i.e. no buzzing on mouthpiece only etc.)

​

Students handling mallet sticks will be provided hand gloves. Mallet sticks will be wiped down and disinfected after every use.

Task 4: Demonstrate your music talent to us (e.g. piano, guitar, violin etc.) by performing during the trials, or show us a video of you doing it.

Task 5: Be able to play 3 notes per instrument during the trials.

Task 6: Be ranked High!
