Leadership

The band provides opportunities for band members to grow and develop themselves as leaders. Students are given the opportunity to develop themselves as leaders, be it leaders of themselves, leaders of others, or leaders of leaders. Students will be mentored by their peers, seniors and teachers in learning how to plan and execute programmes. Section Leaders are given the responsibilities to manage the musicians under their care and learn to lead sectional practice effectively while Executive Committee positions see students learn to lead other leaders. Selected students will also be put through a leadership training programme which sees them plan and execute band programmes such as camps, enrichment activities or even full-scale concerts

Band leaders are held to a high standard and be accountable for their actions.
