Trumpet
The trumpet is a brass instrument that is very commonly used. The bore of the trumpet is roughly cylindrical in shape, is smaller near the mouthpiece and is much larger near the flair of the bell. There are many different types of trumpet such as the piccolo trumpet and the bass trumpet. The most commonly used trumpet is the B♭ trumpet. Trumpet sound is produced when the player blows air through closed lips into the mouthpiece which is placed at the centre of the lips to produce a buzzing sound. The player has to vary movements of lips by changing the shape of the lips and breathing speed to produce different notes on the trumpet. The valves of the trumpet and the speed of vibration of the player's lips vary the pitch of notes while the tuning slide of the trumpet tunes the notes to adjust the pitch of notes precisely.
